Charming Apartment in the Heart of Alfama

Located on the first floor of a traditional building, this 60m² apartment comfortably accommodates up to four guests, blending the character of one of Lisbon's most iconic neighborhoods with all the modern comforts needed for a relaxing and memorable stay. The apartment features two bedrooms—one with a double bed and another with sofa bed—accommodating up to four guests. It also includes a bright living area, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom, providing everything you need for a relaxing stay. Just a short walk from São Jorge Castle, Lisbon Cathedral, Portas do Sol viewpoint, traditional Fado restaurants, cafés, and local shops, it's the perfect base for exploring Lisbon on foot. Getting to the apartment: The apartment is located in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon's historic district. As many of the streets are pedestrian-only, the final part of your journey must be done on foot. Private vehicles, including Uber, cannot access the historic area, although authorized taxis can. . Parking: Parking on the surrounding streets is reserved for residents with a permit. If you're travelling by car, we recommend using one of the nearby public parking garages. . The neighborhood: Alfama is one of Lisbon's oldest and most authentic neighborhoods, full of life and local character. As the apartment has direct access from the street, you may occasionally hear people passing by or activity from nearby restaurants and cafés, particularly in the evenings. . Wi-Fi: Internet is available throughout the apartment. However, because of the historic infrastructure in the area, fiber optic service is not yet available and occasional connection interruptions may occur. If the connection stops completely, just let us know and we'll contact the provider as soon as possible. . Electricity: The apartment is equipped with modern appliances, but the electrical infrastructure in this part of the city is older. To help avoid tripping the circuit breaker, we recommend not using several high-power appliances at the same time. . Visiting in June? During the month of June, especially from June 10th to 13th, Alfama comes alive with the famous Santos Populares celebrations. Expect live music, grilled sardines, dancing, and lots of people enjoying the festivities in the streets until late. It's one of the most special times to experience Lisbon, but it also means the neighborhood will be livelier and noisier than usual. . Before you leave: Please remember to lock the apartment whenever you go out. At check-out, kindly make sure the entrance door is fully closed and locked. If the apartment is left unsecured after departure, a €200 fee may be charged to cover the emergency call-out required to secure the property.
